About
Please note: as is typical for bayonets, KCB are not sharpened from factory. If you are looking for a bayonet that is sharp from factory, please see our SG2000 Series, or contact us by mail.
OES and NATO Forces jointly developed the bayonet system B2005 as a successor to the B2000 system, to a STANAG specification. The final pre-production run was subjected to extreme bending and torsion tests, falling and pulling tests, extreme temperatures (-40C and +40C), ABC tests and HV electrical insulation tests. The B2005 passed and in most tests vastly exceeded the STANAG specification, resulting in being adopted by NATO-militaries. The extreme operational conditions experienced when the B2005 was deployed on a weapon demanded extreme engineering design, accordingly OES manufactured the B2005. The B2005 System, by default, features a Wire Cutter.
There are multiple variants of the B2005 available to you:
B2005 CAN (Canada) with adapter variants for
- NATO Rifles (Canadian Armed Forces Standard Issue)
- NSN: 1095-25-149-6922
- HK G36
B2005 MAL (Malaysia) with adapter variants for
- NATO Rifles
- HK G36
B2005 MAL FN, a variant of the MAL, originally developed for the Cuerpo de Infantería de Marina de Chile's FN SCAR Rifles. NATO only.
B2005 Parade, a NATO only parade bayonet originally produced and sold in a limited edition of 250pcs for the Royal Wedding of Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden in 2010, which sold out some years ago. It is now available as a "standard" product without the engraving.
The primary difference between CAN and MAL lies in handle and sheath colour, olive on CAN and black on MAL, as well as the added back saw on the MAL. The MAL FN instead features a sand-coloured handle and sheath, and its orientation to the barrel is flipped compared to the "regular" B2005 models.
