The Eickhorn Kiddy is based on our popular PRT-IV DE (Two-Handed Opening), adapted to allow the slow introduction into the world of knives. It is delivered unsharpened (although still capable of carving wood), and lacking a belt cutter or glass breaker. In conjunction with the rounded tip, this minimises the risk of injury to the furthest possible extent.

It is perfect for teaching how to sharpen a blade, and when the child is responsible enough, the Kiddy can be upgraded to a "fully-fledged" PRT-IV DE by adding a belt cutter, glass breaker, serrated edge (optional) and sharpening the edge at just the cost of shipping. A different PRT blade can also be fitted for an additional charge. This is a once-per-unit offer.
