The Pohl One represents the first design by renowned knife expert and designer Dietmar Pohl realised in our Solingen Manufactory. In collaboration with SWAT instructors from the USA, a folding knife was created that meets the special requirements of special forces, but is also ideal for everyday civilian use. The offset back grind gives the heavy recurve blade, made of Eickhorn Professional Plus Steel (58HRC), its extraordinary strength at the tip. Large thumb studs on both sides as well as a flipper tab ensure quick deployment, even when wearing gloves. The handle design allows for different grip positions, with Dietmar Pohl placing great emphasis on safe handling. To ensure that the Pohl One can be used safely, even with wet hands, Eickhorn is one of the first manufacturers to use G-10 with a rough grip surface. Two 1.5mm thick liners made of hardened stainless steel and an aluminium spacer running almost the entire length of the handle ensure stability even under high load. A belt clip held by Torx Screws keeps the Pohl One in the tip-up position, ready for quick deployment. 

Later on, an EDC-variant with AlMg3 scales and Karl Nill Rhomlas Rosewood inlays was introduced.

Similarly, a two-handed variant with a nail nick rather than thumb studs and lacking the flipper tab was introduced to enable carrying the knife in more jurisdictions.
